The latest jailbrk tool to be relsed is the TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbrk tool. This is the first untethered jailbrk for this firmware and naturally people were curious. We know very little about the group called TaiG and once the jailbrk was verified, the next question to come about is how trustworthy it is. After all, if you are going to install this on your personal device, you want to know that your information and data is safe.
The question of safety and trustworthyness is very appropriate as you don't want your personal information ending up on some server somewhere. In the case of TaiG, well known jailbrk MuscleNerd has a look and he himself declared that this iOS 8.1.1 untethered jailbrk was safe to us. What we gathered from this is that the jailbrk tool itself isn't installing anything dodgy on your system and that you personal information won't be . This was enough for some people though and many were wondering if the silence of Jay Freeman, aka Saurik, the crtor of Cydia was damning.
Jay Freeman is the go to person for everything jailbrking and he run Cydia, the store where you can get all the best jailbrk twks. Well the silence has been and Saurik has posted on Reddit giving his eral feelings and comments about the TaiG jailbrk. We have a screenshot of what he had to say below so you can rd it but we will tell you, that he still has some questions to ask before he will fully support the jailbrk. He has pointed out though, that he is not the best person to be asking about the safety of a jailbrk because this is not his forte. Anyway, have a rd through the screenshot below and make your own mind up on this matter.
If after rding the screenshot below and you find that probably safe is enough for you and you want to jailbrk iOS 8.1.1, then the TaiG jailbrk tool is the way to go.
rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-72307397936560800812016-05-24T05:47:01.987-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.845-07:00MuscleNerd Approves TaiG iOS 8.1.1 JailbrkA belated Thanksgiving gift has been relsed for all jailbrk fanatics. That's right, the TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbrk tool is now available to download and has been approved by MuscleNerd. If you are looking to get Cydia up and running on iOS 8.1.1 or iOS 8.2 beta then this is for you. Just like Pangu, this is an untethered jailbrk and all you have to do is follow the steps given and apply the jailbrk. The jailbrk community has been digesting the news of this untethered jailbrk for the past couple of days and many of the trusted jailbrkers have been giving it the once over to make sure that it works and is safe to use. We have just hrd today that MuscleNerd has declared that TaiG is safe to use so if you want to jailbrk iOS 8.1.1 this could be the tool for you. A minor update to TaiG has alrdy been relsed in the form of version 1.0.2, which add the ability to remove the 3K Assistant that can be optionally installed at the point of jailbrk. The 3K Assistant is an appliion that includes a repository, discussion, and other info relevant to jailbrkers but it is only aimed at Chinese consumers so you probably won't need it. If you have accidentally installed this appliion and you don't want it, you can install the v1.0.2 version of TaiG which will allow you to sily remove 3K Assistant in Cydia. Now that TaiG has been given the MuscleNerd stamp of approval, you can now update your firmware to iOS 8.1.1 and jailbrk and add Cydia to your iOS device. If you are using the beta version of iOS 8.2, you can also jailbrk using this tool. This rlly is grt news for those looking for a jailbrk solution but given the timing of TaiG's relse, could very well it before iOS 8.2 is officially relsed.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-20169587022395393472016-05-24T05:47:01.986-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.822-07:00This iOS 9 Concept Contains Some Exciting Ftures []When relsed iOS 8 to the public they allowed for the use of third-party boards and widgets which is amazing. However iOS could offer so much more and Ralph Theodory, a tech enthusiast, has crted an amazing showcasing his concept for iOS 9 which contains some rlly grt ftures which we couldn't wait to show you. Below you will find a list of some of the ftures he proposes as well as a showcasing everything. Let us know what you think. Srch In Settings - This fture would allow users to srch for any sort of setting in the Settings app giving fast access without the need to scroll all the way through the listings. History In Settings - We love this one. Every time you do something in iOS it will be logged so you can undo changes and go back to rlier settings any time you want. Perfect if you make a mistake and need to undo a change. Settings Everywhere - This is another fture we would love to see implemented in iOS 9. In the app switcher, users can access settings for any app by simply swiping down on it and revling the settings option.Siri Spell - This is another very strong contender for future ftures in our opinion and when you consider that Siri is unable to recognize some words, having it prompt you to spell it out so that it can lrn from it would be amazing.SpringBoard Display Types Round SpringBoard - Users will be able to switch between three types of SpringBoards: Normal, Zoomed, and the rounded Watch-like home screen. New Music Ftures - Again we rlly like this one. A swipe up from the bottom of the Now Playing screen will allow you to access settings such as Set as Ringtone, Equalizer and more. No need to go through a menu to do this.New Feed - Another grt id is that the native app will now list all feeds from various strming apps installed on your iOS device. Lrn - Theodory is looking at Tips evolving into Lrn an app that will tch you everything there is to finding your way around your iPhone and iOS. Pretty useful for new users. There are lots of other grt ftures to be found in this iOS 9 concept and the best way to view them all is to take a look at the below. Be sure to let us know what you think and what ones are your favorites in the comments section.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-71097639515016066932016-05-24T05:47:01.985-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.798-07:00Black Friday 2014 Dls Announced On Select iPhone, iPad, MacsBlack Friday is almost upon us and if you are planning on picking up an product cer than usual, we have all the information that you need. It replaces legitimate, App Store downloaded apps with ones loaded with malware. It rlly isn't something that you want to happen to your device and in this post we give you the hds up on all the information that we have received so far. This thrt was discovered back in July 2014, when installing an app using enterprise/ad-hock provisioning that it could replace a uine app on your iOS device if it had the same bundle identifier. This app could display the title it wanted during the installation process but once on the device, this malware could then replace any user-installed app, but not the pre-installed ones from Appple. FireEye says that it informed about this back on the 26th of July, but since then, the tm of resrchers have verified that this vulnerability still exists in iOS 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.0, 8.1, and the new iOS 8.1.1 beta. The vulnerability and thrt remains for both jail and non-jail devices as Masque Attack works through wireless networks as well as USB connections. The previous thrt that we saw, WireLurker which infected iOS devices through Macs using USB, was also using Masque Attack's ghosting in limited form. responded to WireLurker after news of it sprd and FireEye believes that the thrt from Masque Attack is far grter than WireLurker could ever have posed. They have said that the malware can replace authentic apps such as banking ones and replace them with ones from the attacker. Such apps can even sport the same UI as well ensuring that the attacker is able to collect all your personal details. Another surprising fact is that this malware can even access the original app's local data which wasn't removed when the original app was replaced. This data may contain cached emails, or login-tokens, which the malware can then use to log into the user's account directly. FireEye has also taken note of the security consequences that Masque Attack can have on infected iOS devices. While these details are too technical in nature, it does paint a picture of the seriousness of this issue and how sy it is for Masque Attack to stl personal information, including financial details from any infected iOS device.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-64589586132559627782016-05-24T05:47:01.980-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.677-07:00Pangu For iOS 8.1 Is Stable Enough, Update And Jailbrk Now While You
Still Canhave rolled out their beta version of iOS 8.1. and along with all their usual bug fixes and minor twks, the main thing that the jailbrk community is concerned with is the fact that it plugs s that have permitted Pangu8 to work its magic. This mns that when iOS 8.1.1 is officially relsed to the public, you will lose your jailbrk if you update to this firmware version. If you have alrdy updated to iOS 8.0 or are running on any other firware, you will still be able to jailbrk your device using Pangu, but with iOS 8.1 being quite a hvy update it does make sense to update to this version if you haven't yet. We never know when beta software is going to be relsed and the advice from the Pangu tm is that anybody planning on jailbrking in the nr future should be making all the necessary precautions now before it's too late. This mns updating your devices to iOS 8.1 by running a restore through iTunes. The Pangu tm have publically stated on Twitter that will relse iOS 8.1.1 soon, and that you should update to 8.1 now, while its still being signed because the update will the jailbrk. Also taking to twitter was Cydia crtor Saurik who was happy to tell his followers that if there are waiting until things are stable enough to jailbrk devices running on iOS 8.0 to 8.1 then they should do it now using Pangu as it is stable enough. The people behind that last few jailbrks have continually advised users to restore in iTunes rather than applying an OTA, which can throw up issues of its own during the jailbrk process, so if you are updating to iOS 8.1 for the purpose of using Pangu, then be sure to connect your device to your PC and do it this way. Once you have iOS 8.1 up and running on your device you can do what you want from there as long as you don't update, you'll be able to jailbrk using Pangu8 at any time and run Cydia on your device. That's all we have for the moment but as soon as any other news makes it our way, we will be sure to let you know.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-70381877924103415762016-05-24T05:47:01.979-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.653-07:00Jailbrk iOS 8 And iOS 8.1 With Pangu On iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5s, iPad, MoreIt was with grt excitement that we brought you the information on how to jailbrk iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 with Pangu on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s and iPad. This update came from the Pangu tm and it is untethered. We have alrdy given you step by step instructions on how to do this so if you haven't alrdy, you will find the information in our recent posts. If you are alrdy jail using Pangu8, make sure that you update the latest untether package so that you get all the bug fixes that have been implemented. Jailbrking has always been rllly popular and every time brings out a new firmware there is a rush to get a jailbrk so that iOS device owners can update to the latest firmware without losing their beloved Cydia. relsed iOS 8 back in September and there were so many people looking to jailbrk their i iPads and iPod Touches on the latest firmware. We were spoilt with the relse of iOS 7 becauce Evad3rs came up with a jailbrk fairly quickly before Pangu arrived with a jailbrk for iOS 7.1 and up. When iOS 8 was relsed however, we were back to square one and followed their initial iOS 8.0 relse with 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 before dropping iOS 8.1 in October so that support for Pay was made available. Pangu rlly did surprise up by relsing Pangu iOS 8 iOS 8.1 jailbrk for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5s, iPad Air 2 and all other devices. The initial relse was in Chinese and for only. It also didn't include Cydia but Saurik soon updated Cydia for iOS 8 but you have to manually install it. A week after this Pangu version 1.1.0 was relsed in English with Cydia bundled with it. Our previous post included step by step instruction on jailbrking your iOS device using Pangu and we are delighted to be able to report that this jailbrk has gone down a trt with the community. We are always keeping an eye on the jailbrk scene and report everything that happens right here so be sure to check out what we have posted and follow our blog for more information as it is relsed. This is especially important as has relsed the first beta of iOS 8.1.1 and if they have this jailbrk you will be the first to know.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-67229255084284589372016-05-24T05:47:01.978-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.627-07:00Fix Pass Issue After iOS 8 / 8.1 Jailbrk With Pangu8 and Cydia []We all love when a jailbrk comes out but the bugs and problems are what we don't want. This post has been designed to help you fix the Cydia Pass boot loop issue that has arisen iOS 8.x has been jail using the Pangu8 jailbrk too. This fix will work on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and we have included a just to make things sier. We rlly do need to point out, that the current version of Cydia and Pangu8 are not rdy for primetime yet and this is why we are seeing a lot of issues. We recommend that you only follow these guidelines if you are an advanced user and have prior knowledge of SSHing into an iOS device. As always make sure that you do a full backup of all your data before you begin. Before you do anything, you need to restoer your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8.1 and then jailbrk using Pangu8. We posted on this rlier in the week. Once you have the jailbrk complete, you need to install OpenSSH from the Pangu app. Next you will need to download the two files that are needed to install Cydia. This is all shown in the below so don't panic if you don't know what files to download. Once you get to here the next thing yo uneed to do is simply SSH into your device using Cyberduck and paste the files you downloaded for Cydia into this loion: var/root/Media/Cydia/Autoinstall. If this loion doesn't exist, you will need to crte it. The next thing you have to do is reboot your iPhone twice. You will notice that the Cydia icon apprs on your home screen but don't run it yet. You now have to download the fix for the Pass boot loop issue and then SSH into your device again and go to /usr/libexec/cydia. Delete the move.sh file from here and replace it with the one you just downloaded. The last thing you have to do is go to /User/Library/Caches/ and delete the LaunchServices-XXX.cssstore file. The XXX will be any three random s. Reboot and launch Cydia. Wait for it to prepare the file system and other stuff and once it is rdy, just hd to your Settngs app and set any Pass you like. To watch the whole thing and follow along, just click on the below.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-18868073459263669762016-05-24T05:47:01.977-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.604-07:00Cydia Substrate 0.9.5015 For iOS 8 8.1 RelsedLast week we saw the Pangu8 untethered jailbrk for iOS 8 and 8.1 relsed. In order for this to work properly, Cydia author Saurik had to make some impromptu fixes to the Cydia Substrate. The new Pangu Untether 0.2 was rolled out yesterday and a for additional bugs have been addressed in a new version of Substrate. If you have jail your idevice on iOS 8 using Pangu, then this is a very necessary update as it fixes issues with booting, syncing, and other major challenges that the jailbrk community faced over the past week. A lot of jailbrkers presume that achieving an untethered jailbrk is as sy as simply installing Cydia on your device and then going ahd and installing twks. This is so not the case, as we have seen with the Pangu jailbrk for iOS 8 / 8.1. There are a of components that have to operate together and Cydia Substrate is fundamental to the entire process. Pangu's roll out of iOS 8 8.1.x Untether 0.2 yesterday exposed a of new bugs in Cydia Substrate and Saurik and his tm has rlly quickly come through with an update. The Cydia Substrate 0.9.5014 fixes a few bugs reported on iOS 8 with 0.9.5013, including apps do not install, iTunes does not sync, and icons are gone. This issue sometimes led to devices being unable to boot without disabling Substrate. Cydia Substrate 0.9.5014 is the main update even though Saurik has followed up with version 0.9.5015 with a fix for OpenSSH. What this all mns is that the new Pangu Untether and Cydia Substrate should work together now and it is recommended that anyone that has alrdy jail their iOS 8 device should go ahd and install both as quickly as possible. The Untether 0.2 package is available through the Pangu app, while Cydia Substrate 0.9.5015 is available on the Cydia/Telesphoreo repository. You can of course simply launch Cydia, tap on Changes and then upgrade. The issue with freezing on the reboot of a device that is lock using a Pass or Touch ID has yet to be rectified, so you will need to disable this fture for the time being. Pangu8 rlly is shaping up to be a grt jailbrk tool even with a couple of kinks still needing to be ironed out.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-87641851043665629032016-05-24T05:47:01.976-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.576-07:00Jailbrk iOS 8.1 Untethered Using Pangu8 And Install CydiaThe tm behind Pangu have just relsed an untethered iOS 8 8.1 jailbrk and we weren't even expecting it. This Chinese tm came out with the impromptu jailbrk for iOS 7.1.x and now they have once again come to the rescue with their solution for iOS 8.x. Pangu8 works with iOS 8 all the way through to the latest iOS 8.1 and in this post we will show you how to jailbrk your device using this tool. We do have to point out this this tool isn't completely refined so it might not be successful. Also it doesn't install Cydia so we have information on how to do this also. Pangu doesn't install Cydia by default and while Saurik has updated Cydia for iOS 8, you will have to install it manually until the Pangu tm updates the tool with the Cydia installer. If SSHing is not something you enjoy, we recommend that you wait for the updated Pangu tool. Before you jailbrk you will need to turn off any lock screen pass or Touch ID as well as Find My iPhone. You also need to make sure you have an iTunes restored version of iOS 8/8.1 installed on your device for the jailbrk to work. If you updated via OTA the jailbrk won't work. Make sure that you device is backed up too and you have iTunes 12.0.1 or later installed on your PC and running in the background while the jailbrk is taking place. The Pangu jailbrk supports the following devices; iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad (all models), and the iPod touch 5. The first thing you need to do to jailbrk iOS 8/8.1 untethered using Pangu is to download Pangu for . Next right click on the Pangu icon and click run as administrator. With Panug running, connect your iDevice to your PC using USB. Click on the checkbox that says PP to uncheck it. Next you have to press the big blue button in the centre of the display to begin the jailbrk process. Your device will reboot a couple of times so be patient. Once the jailbrk has been completed, you will see a new Pangu icon on your device's home screen. This confirms that your jailbrk was successful. Installing Cydia After Jailbrking With Pangu The first thing you need to do is backup the content on your device. Next you will need to download the latest Cydia.deb file as well as the cydia-lproj file. Once you have the .deb files you will need to SFTP the file to your device. To do this, Mac users should use Cyberduck, while users are advised to use WinSCP. Next you need to go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your devicfe and find the hotspot that both your device and PC/Mac are connected to. Next to the connection's details hit the i and make note of the IP address. Next you are going to use your designated SFTP client, in the IP address as well root for username and alpine for the . Once the file browser apprs, drop the .deb files into the root folder of your device. After this, things can get a little tricky because you will be firing in commands that you may not be familiar with, so you need to make sure that you take your time and watch carefully if you are not used to doing this. To start an SSH command line session on you need to hit Crtl + T. Then you need to run the command: dpkg -i cydia-lproj_1.1.12_iphoneos-arm.deb Now run this command: dpkg -i cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb The next thing to do is reboot your device and that should be it. You should now have Cydia installed on your jail device. Remember if this all seems a little too much, all you have to do is wait until Pangu is updated to include the Cydia installers.rndsaw2http://www.blogger.com/profile/00529622367960227516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8422812086116010963.post-78738088987304304302016-05-24T05:47:01.975-07:002016-05-24T05:51:33.545-07:00List Of Retail Stores And Apps That Currently Works With PayPay was rolled out with the iOS 8.1 update and so far it is only the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that can make contactless payments to over 220,000 retail stores.
